How do others feedback cappings and honey following extraction, which is from rape and is setingt. A feeder wont work as the honey is set & not liquid enough. I could take the lid off the feeder and place above the cover board with the hole open, but a bit concerned they will all get stuck in the soft set honey. Maybe leave cappings above for them to rest on.
Maybe I have answered my own question or have others got any different solutions? (other than warming, straining & jaring).

I just put mine in an English feeder and leave the lid off the feeder. The feeder is surrounded by an empty super or eke with a CB on top. The bees use the cap pings to walk on. Never find any bees stuck in the honey. Mind you it is mainly cappings not gallons of honey

I dont leave honey in cappings to set.. Leave all cappings in filter placed on container and put in my warming fridge straight after extraction

I drain my cappings with a strainer like in this thread (can't find the photos of mine but they are on here somewhere !)

There's very little honey left in them after being left overnight to drain somewhere warnm (Airing cupboard but don't tell 'er indoors or I will be in even more trouble).

I then wash the cappings that are left and either feed the washings back to the bees or when the fancy takes me use it as the basis for making some mead (needs more honey to get the SG up to a decent starting point but it's a start).
