OMG - that was enormous! What made you aware they were there.....
It was fairly evident they were around on summer evenings. We had to keep some windows closed as they're attracted to lights. I'd worked out where it was a few weeks ago but hadn't ventured up there. I was slightly apprehensive about prodding the nest as I was kneeling on joists in a very awkward place. Thankfully no sign of life at all.OMG - that was enormous! What made you aware they were there.....
Yes to a degree. The dog, who's pretty terrified of anything that might sting regards these as deeply disturbing!How wonderful to have them there... I see Hornets so rarely but did this year see a few round the hives.
