no, all you need is a piece of ply wood larger than you wax sheet
whallop a nail in place where you want the wire to start and finish and one for each bend
look at a pre made sheet, say the wires go up and down and from this we need one nail at the start teo on the top and three on the bottom and one to finish.
once the nails are in place cut the heads off so they are just straight sided pins
put the wax sheet in place lace the wire over the top and all we have to do now is to use a standard electric embedder to do the rest
an electric embedder at its most basic is a stick of wood with four nails in it, two you connect to the negative wire and two , to the positive wire
when the power is on you will have four nails, lived up when they touch the wire they connect and there fore the heat from the currant flowing causes the wire to warm up and the tips of the nails push it down into the wax sheet
most people use an old mobile phone charger to be the power source, mine is 12v dc at .25amp an old nokia one I think
