Drone Brood only being impacted....

I have noted in two colonies what looks like Chalk Brood but impacting Drone only … Cells appear torn down and drone larvae debris (like dried out CB) left. Worker brood (extensive) not impacted. I have vaped recently but would imagine any negative effect to would cover both Drone/Worker larvae. Any ideas as to what may be afoot?

Ian, thank you for reply ... will take a pic next visit... On thinking it through, perhaps frosts and low temps allowed the brood cover to shrink exposing the outer rim of Drone to suffer ... purely conjecture on my part and will take a pic for opinion. P
