I’ve recently moved my hive to nearby some oil seed rape so I’m keeping a very careful eye on the state of the flowers which are pretty much over where we are.

I’m planning to remove the supers this week and spin the honey pronto as all the advice suggests. One thing I normally do with honey I’ve spun off is let it settle for 24 hours which means that most of the bubbles come to the surface. THis can be scraped off and used for cooking etc.

I’ve heard that you’ve got to get the OSR honey in the jars pronto; can I let it settle for 24 hours or is that madness?!!

If you jar osr without creaming it will set like concrete... Research the method.. You will need a warming cabinet
