Anyone know where you can buy the gauze used in contact feeders? I have boxes of the plastic buckets but can't find anywhere that sells the fine gauze.

I would buy a cheap sieve and dismember it.. Never seen gauze for sale.

I have seen it done by drilling a bank of tiny holes. 1mm or should do it. Buy a pack of 10 x 1mm drills from screwfix.

idg's ^^^ method works fine. Or heat a large sewing needle, hold it with pliers and pierce the holes.
The most important thing is that your lids have a good seal on the bucket so the vacuum doesn't let go and then the syrup runs out.

There's a well known auction site which will meet your needs.
Plastic, aluminium, stainless steel and in various mesh sizes. ;)
