Was checking all my colonies for stores today and one nuc with a clear crown board I noticed no activity inside , it was a dead out only a small few dead bees left in frames with there butts sticking out and no stores around them but I had fondant on top of frames but they never moved up for it ,pity.in amongst a tiny cluster I noticed the queen so I put her in my pocket .anyway I cleaned out nuc and headed home ,, to my amazement the queen I put on the dash when I was driving home started moving, I gave her a drop of honey and left her in hot press... she is now full of life running around. Can I save her majesty ?????

Did the colony die out because she stopped laying? I have one like that last winter, queen was still alive with only a few bees in early spring. She wasn't laying so nothing to be done in my case
