hi guys,

straight tot he point but I have a mated caged queen, because of circumstances I have no use for her as of yet.

can i put her in with a swarm I caught 2 weeks ago so se gets looked after?

I think/hope there is a virgin queen in with the swarm but no eggs as of yet. could this put the virgin queen of mating

They will kill her if there is a queen in there all ready.

YOu could introduce her to the swarm, but you would need to be sure that you had removed the virgin in the swarm first.

I dont intend letting the queen out, I just want to put her there until i have use for her

ive heard of queen banking but not exactly sure how that works

will they be able to kill her through the cage

I think you need to set up a 2-3 frame nuc, then when the queen is useful unite with the intended colony/split. I assume thats what you will do
