Bright red pollen

Bees bringing in a lovely bright red pollen, anybody any idea what plant it comes off? First nice day we had for a while , loads of bees singing along with Mungo Jerry.

finally made it into hives today after nearly 2 months of bad weather red pollenfor me too!

I've been using the Bristol Beekeepers web site pollen guide and it's been pretty reliable so far, but I don't think it would have told me the bright red pollen was from a horse chestnut (unless my pc monitor is playing up!).

Please could someone else have a look and maybe explain what's going on?

Red pollen coming in at my out apiary. Also red propolis. It is in an area with a lot of horse chestnut and the hives get really bunged up with the stuff!!!
