Similar to the lime watch thread hereunder, what is the black berry situation where you live? Just interested in seeing how the different geographical regions differ. In South West Ireland the black berry flowers are just beginning to open.

just coming into full flower here as is the clover.

First bramble flowers are opening in Merseyside.

Full steam ahead on blackberry in lancashire

Been out for past two weeks here in Sutton, London but only seen bumbles working them until Tuesday this week, even today not masses of bees on them.

Ditto. Think they're on lime. In any case a massive flow: I would say 10 arrivals per second in my producing colony.

Ttltb, I've never seen anything like this in terms of bees coming and going, entrance fully open and a beard of bees trying to get in and out, heavy landings on the board... looking forward to my inspection mid week!

Interesting. I have never seen a honey bee or bumble bee on cow parsley here - only hover flies.

Tons flowering here.
Will be early pickings for the jam I spose.
