I've never used a fume board but have some benzaldehyde to hand and I'm sure I can knock one up.
Do people just put it on the top super and remove them as the bees go down? How long does it take?
Another possibility is removing the supers to a stand, add the fume board and let the escaping bees fly home.
Is there a risk of a mass exodus if placed on top of an intact hive?
Any experience of using them welcome!
