HI

I am looking for bees or a nuc on Hoffman frames (accidently appear to have bough Smith hives when the chap who sold them to me said they were nationals!) in Wales or South West England (I live in the East Valleys but can travel). Having problems because of the frames/hive size.

Please help!

Hi BK, Welcome to the forum, sorry can't help with the bees.
Where abouts in Ponty' are you, I'm in New Inn?
Is it possible to return the hive or is it not worth the bother?
Are you a member of the Gwent BKA ?

Russ.

Any national sized frames can be easily converted to Smith frames - just trim a bit off of each lug. So a nuc on standard deep frames would be fine for you.

Incidentally, I will have more nucs ready in about 2 weeks, but I suspect I'm too far into the SW for you.

I have a Nuc with laying white Queen if you're not sorted yet or maybe set you up with a National hive of bees to get you going. We're 3 miles from Llanwrda off A40. Drop me a PM if you want.

A nuc and up to 3 hives available now unless your sorted. bee-smillie
