Read the comments after the article - typical Daily Mail readers...

Swarm caught and hived . parent colony inspected by him, on finding queen cells he asked for advice and was given the advice to "Knock all cells down save one " He saved two , one week later they swarmed again ( a small cast ) He is now in the position where he has pussy-cats with the old queen and hells' angels with the hive with self produced queen! and this queen F1-ish :).

VM can you imaging right in the middle of all the garden parties 4 hives full of Carnies.

Just typical journalism when you know the story what ever it is, it often has mistakes.

For example Clarence House have not put bees on the roof they are very close to the back of the house.

I was simply drawing attention to the fact the article was in a newspaper shown to me by my wifey following an Internet search.

I wasn't commenting on the intelligence of, or quality, of reporting, but as has been shown the information has, as usual, been slightly distorted in order to create an interesting story.

Don't you have to be careful on here?

Wot!, like bees producing 'jars of honey'. Not looked at the comments but wouldn't be surprised if some people out there think it (honey) is made in the jars! I remember city dwellers (yes, they were Londoners) who were aghast when they realised that they had been drinking milk that came from dirty cows, from a dirty field, in a dirty old cowshed!
