Hi guys,

I have a nuc thats now got a beared of bees on the front of it for most of the day and during the night. Its been like this for a few days now

to tell you the truth, this nuc needs transfering to a brood box now as it is now quite full with bees.

problem is, the bees threw the queen out last week and i found her not 4 inches from the hive enterance. They have made a supercedure cell which i expect to hatch this weekend (didnt see when cell was capped but it was capped last saturday)

what should i do? should i transfer or should i leave them be (no pun intended) until she is mated and laying? just worried about this bearding

tell me if im wrong but they wont decide to swarm will they as they have no eggs/young enough larvae to make new QC from

How full of stores (I won't use the word honey at the present time)?

If there is no queen and only one queen cell they will certainly not be swarming. Might be a remote chance of them absconding, though.

They are telling you they want more room.

Give it to them, and before that cell hatches.

Lots of bees and hot weather. More space and ventilation I reckon.
