I'm having a hard hard time seeing just how much one of their hives costs, like for like..,

I tried comparing the extractors and other tools US/UK. The UK price is about 15-20% more than the US price and then plus VAT. US sales, I suppose, are subject to a state or city levied tax so variable but usually lower than Europe.

Comparing quality/construction/materials value between different manufacturers is always going to be harder.

Their claim to offer a "Complete Amino Acid Profile" is misleading, leaning to incorrect.

There are 10 essential amino acids required by honeybees NOT 9 as listed by them.
They chose to leave out Tryptophan....

Why, because all of the other Amino Acids required by honeybees should be in the correct ratios relevant to Tryptophan

Do the math and see were it leads.....

I don't think they are undercutting the competition really. A complete hive from them here in the USA only costs about $180.00. Even marking up for the shipping over there they should still be coming in under what some of your suppliers charge.

As far as taxes here anything mail order or ordered online is tax exempt. And farmers have tax exempt status so even walking into the store there is no tax unless you are a hobby beekeeper.
