Hi all
Might seem a bit odd but I never received my BBKA magazine for January.
I emailed the BBKA and had no reply !!
Just wondering if anyone else has had the same issue, My membership is valid until mid summer 2014.
Cheers all.

Hi

Are you sure it runs until summer 2014, I was under the impression that the membership runs jan to dec, even if you purchase your membership mid year. I could be wrong though.

Hi, Yes when I joined the BBKA I had a letter which states "Due to a printing error your 2012/13 card will be valid until June 2014".
Maybe thats where the confusion lies, perhaps the "system" thinks my membership has expired !! I will check on Monday with a phone call.
Regards.

Always a possibility it was delivered elsewhere, among a load of junk mail, and was discarded as junk instead of returning it to the system.

I think that's just for the benefits with the likes of Bookers.
BBKA membership runs April to March.
BKA treasurers notify BBKA at the end of March who has and who has not renewed in order that the BBKA can issue the capitation invoice in the first week of April and amend their mailing list etc.
Get your membership sec to check your details and chase up your membership with Jan at the BBKA, you should receive your mag in a few days if all's well.

agree,

we are doing the capitation spread sheets for our BKA to sent to County now, the membership cards are normally attached to the cover of the may BBKA news

I am regularly "losing" Bee Keeping magazines in the post.

It would seem there is light fingered postie who may also be into bees or knows someone who is.

Can't think of any other credible reason.

BBKA newsletter is available on the website as a PDF file. Some have appeared before the paper, some after. Downloading the files is a handy way of searching for specific references, not that it's an explanation as to why your paper version was missing. Using your membership number on the website would at least be confirmation that your membership is active.

At least some association Secretaries get sent some 'spare' copies.
Worth asking if you are trying for completeness and one goes missing ...

I believe BBKA membership can expire for 2 reasons:
- Your local association tells BBKA you are no longer a member.
- (More common) your local association fails to pay the fee on your behalf in March, presumably because you haven't paid them.

Has anyone got a copy saved on their computer to send to Cellectronic, saying that I wouldn't mind having a look to compare it to the welsh version
