Yes, I mean similar to a dummy. I use insulated dividers for overwintering if a 14 x 12 is a frame or two light. Put at the back, the bees cannot get to it to chew it away, Slightly shorter ones at the front need a little protection (duct tape) on the bottom edge. Would give them a summer use.

so you put them warm way rather than cold?

does it matter?

is there not something about magnetic orrientation with ferral comb
