Totally, NO toxic chemicals allowed anywhere near my hives (unlike SOME beekeepers!) - I even ensure that the linseed oil I use on the outside of the hives is free of solvents.......
Like Chris, I have no need of "treatments", but if I did I'd use icing sugar, which DOES work if used correctly....
