I anticipate Q's reducing activity on the application of ApiG. Last season it was more pronounced but I note this season on last inspection that 5 colonies have zero eggs/larvae with Q's roaming about. Any similar experiences ?? Tried Maq's on four colonies without issue.

This is my first year, started with a small cast swarm in July, re queened and now in a 5 frame nuc. Applied first dose of Apiguard 2 weeks ago. Put 2nd dose in yesterday and noted BIAS it hasn't knocked my Q off lay in the slightest. On observing hive activity there has been no difference that I have noticed.
Plenty of dead mites on the inspection board though.

Had a similar experience with one of my colonies last month. Once the Apiguard had finished she started laying like a train again - no problems since.

I used a thymol treatment Apilife var 3yrs ago i did not see if the Queen stopped laying but even if she did not stop laying the treatment killed a load of brood anyway so that was just as bad as the Queen not laying, never again.
I vaped last week and today, 3 days after i vaped last week all hives had eggs and BIAS with no dead brood on the inspection tray and i had the same result from vaping one hive last year, it's a no brainer to me ditch the methods that kill Queens/Brood and stops the Queens from laying and opt for a simple yet VERY effective method of killing varroa.

Checked through all ours today, 3 weeks into their 4 week Apigaurd treatment - all queens present and laying

the amount of brood you lose through apigaurd is tiny in relation to brood area... it is only a small area local to the tray. I'm in the mindset you'd lose a lot more bees if you didn't treat so nothing to worry about, but then you're vaping so thats all good.
