I know that Gwenyn Griffydd and Black Mountain Honey have the awards in theor jars. Any one else bothered and are there any hidden costs?
no real cost IIRC it's just a PITA as they don't judge at times which are anywhere near the harvest so you have to use stored honey and explain as to the rationale, and once you are in the mill you more or less commit yourself to enter every year.I know that Gwenyn Griffydd and Black Mountain Honey have the awards in theor jars. Tempted to give it a go, we shall see.
And every right to be, I'm cynical about the whole facade.I'm personally a bit cynical when a customer of ours gets two stars for honey purchased from us and we get one for the same batch.
didn't used to be - food hygiene certificate maybe.I'm sure there's some in the rules about being a vat registered business,
