Anyone encountered this problem?
I’ve never seen it before this year but it’s happened in several of my apiaries. IMG_3194.jpegIMG_3193.jpegIMG_3196.jpeg

Its a pain in certain (sandy?) apiaries, but doesn't seem to impact the bees unless its a weak colony, when the bees will invade the hive. When I feel its an issue, I grease the legs of the hive stand and this seem to prevent the problem. brush the bits off the crown board, so it doesn't get into the supers, although should float and get skimmed off ;)
