I’ve decided against using Acetic acid to sterilise my broods/supers. I don’t have the right safety equipment and I just don’t fancy taking any chances.
So, I’m wondering about alternative options.
I’m thinking scraping the broods/supers (crown board, OMF also), then soaking them in hot washing soda. Then scorch with blow torch. Would that do the same trick as the acetic acid treatment?
Any advice welcome.
PS. Hive died off in winter from suspected nosema
