Does anyone use castellation spacers in an Abelo National Poly super? If so what size do you use?
The abelo boxes already have the frame runners built in if you where to use castellations you would have to cut the plastic runners out..a bit pointless imo..
No you wouldn't. There is space for the frame lugs above the integral plastic frame runner.
The problem would be finding or modifying a national wooden or wbc super castellation to fit the internal dimension of the abelo super.
Same issues with the swienty super, the wbc super internal dimension is close though.

They don't fit and neither do ten combs previously drawn on ten slot castellations.
Space them by eye.
This would be fine until moving them, then it would cause carnage.
Iirc I spaced mine with alternate wide and narrow plastic ends with one frame of foundation between two wide ends to make everything tight for transport.
The spacing is pretty much perfect within the irregular internal dimensions of the box

Yes.That looks good.
How are you fixing the spacer to the box? Is it just slotted in behind the runner?
I've tried nailing them in the past to the old style swienty super and it wasn't very durable.
Yes. These are spray painted black as they are destined for cut comb with thin, unwired foundation.Do you paint the top of the frames?
Really? That's good to knowFor what it's worth...thin unwired is all I used... it goes in the extractor fine. Means I can do cut comb or extract with any of my frames.

it's so much cheaper!
