its the first wednesday of every month and its in Annetts garden centre,only two minutes from Warrenpoint,tell joe when he's finished with you's i need him up to help me find and mark a queen;)

Buy a decent nuc by mid-May and you've got an excellent chance of a super of honey by the end of the season.

Buy a decent nuc mid-June and you'll be lucky to get a crop at all.

For me this is a major thing to factor into the price of a nuc. £160 for a good one at this time of year is a good deal. The same price after mid-June is stretching things severely.

(Plenty of other factors too of course...age and quality of queen, new frames, brood coverage, bee numbers etc.)
