In begging to differ I'll simply put the quoted reference comes from
Cambridge, no less.
But whatever... I do note not a single like driven quip as yours was
put to the use of liquid nitrogen around a beehive, a beekeeping topic.
Says volumes in my "upside down world", eh.

Ahh well that explains it. The definitive(pun intended) English dictionary is the Oxford dictionary , since you chose to use just one of the definitions of aerosol and to be frank a rather surprising one given that you followed it with scientific quotes.
As mentioned, phthalates are basically not present in aromatic aerosols, so what exactly is your concern over the use of a pressurised container around a bee hive.?
I understand the incredulity, most of us felt the same way when it was first mentioned I imagine and I'm sure it doesn't get a mention in the eltalia ocker Aussie beekeeping manual. Do try and express what you believe the issue is concisely this time.
Oh and what comment on the use of liquid nitrogen were you hoping for ? There are those who use it on this site and I'm sure most are familiar with it's function. Were you expecting to be contradicted?
