    skip diving

    i have collected LOADS of bits from skips, including a nice quantity of WBC ply 18mm and chipboard. I have seen chipboard used to make dividers, but could i use it to double wall a hive leaving the WBC on the exterior or is it made using nasties, formaldehyde etc? and would that pose a problem?

    on tuesday as it hit -11C in the barn, night milking turned into an interesting experience. all the clusters froze up, fortunately during the clean not the milking, and the high pressure hose dribbled for 30 mins before clearing itself. tractors on frozen slurry...what glorious glorious...

    building hives

    last night 6.30 bbc radio4 not specifically a beekeeping show but one about his life as a diet guru (comedy) lots of bee references he's by far my fave comedian atm. love the.... "if they ban the veil.......beekeepers are goping to be seriously hacked off" line
