Yeah that's the one , probably should have looked at that but tbh enjoyed meeting the people and having a look around .I only have about 80 national shallow, 10 medium lang and 12 dadant frames to extract so its job enough. Should last a lifetime too I'm guessing.

Been searching high and low for an extractor ,looked at all options , well.....happened to be driving past maisemore apiaries , went in for a 2 frame manual plastic , come out with a 9 frame radial /3 frame tang stainless 😂 Guess buy once buy good, plus the tang be handy for the dadant frames !

Not promoting it but I use apiguard in August, 2 doses back to back once the supers are off followed by a oxalic acid vapour end December/ early January.Seems to do the trick.

I'd just leave a scion out throughout the swarm season and do your best to prevent swarming .least they know it's there then if they do go for it

+1 on the old castle farm sentinel . The only places I’ve been nailed is on the wrists in the gap between the mesh suit and leather gloves. The stingers can puncture the gauntlets !

Wasps are beginning to rob around me now quite heavy,the entrance reduces are on , not so much of an issue with the dark hive at present but the buckfast hive is like a battle ground.I killed 12 wasps in the house alone yest !

I buy my kit on the sales , bee equip just had one , got 4 supers incl all frames and found and a set of brood frames and found for 100 squid, I was happy with that
