It s very poisonous to humans and animals. The seeds can kill chickens ( probably not in London!!! )
Bees do go on it but mainly bumbles

London has quite a number of Chickens;, it is not all a built up concrete jungle

the 1948 london green belt reserved from housing development means you have farms within 5 miles of the center.. I have my bees on one farm , typical old fashioned small fields and hedges now used for a children's farm and horse livery...unlike Bedfordshire where i was bought up...desolate mono culture OSR and wheat fields with no hedges (or ferral Bees)

Laburnum along with other pea like flowers are often difficult for our Honey bees to access due to the deep position of the nectaries and long petals v's short honey bee tongues.

Bumble bees often chew holes in the base of the flower near the stem allowing them to steal the nectar avoiding pollination of the flower, they also do this to Wisteria and field beans. Honey bees may then take advantage of these 'holes' and access the nectar themselves.
