Tonight on Autum watch they tested a wood mouse on the size of crack it could squeeze through. 15mm was easy for it but it wouldn't go through 14.5mm. Interesting?

Not sure about entrances but the best exit for a mouse are these new plastic false teeth type traps baited with a bit of Mars bar. I pop one in the eke above the frames for winter and have only have had one mouse in years. I think the small entrances are the way to go but given the damage thet mice can do in a colony I think the belt and braces approach is worth it.
