My excluders never come off. You cant use a swienty poly feeder without a wire framed excluder so it stays on during syrup feeding.I am sat here trying to work out why anyone would be feeding with an excluder on.
Yes I know I'm obviously missing something...

Its above the brood box and below the feeder.
Then I leave it in after the feeder is off (between brood box and roof, to stop squashing bees, give them freedom to move over the top frames and to place fondant on.
