I want to extract 2 supers this weekend. After returning the supers to the hive for the bees to clear them when can I start winter feeding and varroa treatment. Can i have a feeder on at the same time as Apiguard? Any advice please.

Start feeding and varroa treatment as soon as the supers are removed (once cleaned).

You can feed and use apiguard simultaneously

It's early enough to relax a bit on winter feeding - get the Apiguard on ASAP, feed later - the manufacturers do advise not to feed at the same time as treatment as the bees are too busy storing to move the Apiguard around although, I have, when I had no choice, done both the same time.

Winter feeding.....the heather is still in full flower and the bees are bringing home the nectar....although perhaps not this afternoon in this torrential rain.

Totally agree with JBM. Still time to treat and then feed if they need it. Put my Apiguard on yesterday, having removed the last of the supers, which had been put back on for the bees to clean out. I hate the smell of a stack of wet supers, when I open them in spring. I burn sulphur before I fasten up the stacks.
