Never mind Helsinki; Aberdeen beekeeping is going to be a very different experience from mine. I bet the September flows are WILDLY different.

Interestingly, you have selected September and the heat island of London for comparison. :)

Your source gives these average figures for October (Jeffree's brood minimum)
Canterbury 3/15
Aberdeen 7/12
Helsinki 3/9
which seems to lend some support to my contention that October in "far North" Aberdeen isn't significantly colder than Kent …
 
I was just mAking the point that the runup to that brood minimum target would be different. And I was amused by the Finland reference. Again, I guess your ivy flows would be different from Aberdeen. But we agree on the basic points and I will post ( prob in the apiary thread) what I find.
