i spend most of the time head down in the recycling bins where i live, for my home brew i can collect wine bottles and champange bottles and flip top beer bottles and save a load of money on it too,
it is standard practice in the home brew forums to collect bottles from the bins to reuse.
as for honey jars if you wanted to yes you can reuse the jars but not the lids, glass is so easy to clean and sterilize again
