Hi you all. My bees are coming back white:ohthedrama: Could this be due to them finding maze? If so, why are they white?
 
It is balsam.it has a characteristic where the pollen loads the back of the bees. Hence the white look!
 
Yep , as the bee enters the balsam flower head it hits a trigger hair which triggers the stamen to tap it on the back ? Next blossom same action ,result pollination .
Your bees haven't got mould, trench foot etc. Lol

Sorry to disagree Redwood - too many gorgeous honeys to have a "best"!
 
What honey do you get that you like

Very happy with the Hawthorn I got this year. I had Lime the first year I had bees but that year I had some amber Spring honey and that was deliceous. I think Heather has the edge though ... but that means a bit of movement.
