What is important for winter????

It is NOT capped stores. You may add them next week as much as bees need.

The most important is the area of brood. That will rule the succes of wintering. How you get it? If you have larvae in the hive, it means that the hive gets pollen outside. You can give sugar and the hive rear then bees for winter.

Keep small scale feeding, hope good weathers that bees get pollen and wait that it is real time to fil the hive with winter food.

Late summer care: If it is cold, reduce ventilation to minimum,
Reduce room to size which bees densily occupye.

The cold hive will stop brooding too soon. Nucs make it easily.

If your winter clusters remain too small, join the faint colonies . but in late of September..

Keep teasing feeding
