What's flowering as forage in your area

What do they need through the winter? Do you water or feed, my greenhouse isn't heated

I over winter mine in an unheated greenhouse as my garden catches all the winter cold. It lives permanently in a pot, they like to be slightly pot bound as that encourages flowering. I don’t water it over winter, and only start once the weather warms.

Spotted a field full of flowering clover at the farm today. seems late but there it is, just maybe with a week of warmer weather there will be some nectar to be had. I live in hope .

Possibly highs of 24c up in Scotland with this high over the UK.
22c in South Shropshire today the clover fields were being foraged on.

Thistles have all gon over, in the fields around me .lavender was short lived as well . my Beans are in flower and the honey suckle is still going but the only thing I have seen my bees on is mint.
I did see some bright red pollen comeing in I haven’tchecked to see what that might be

i have checked and .. field scabius seams a likely candidate.. possibly horse they say that it flowers somewhere in every month of the year

I do hope so, being down on the west of a peninsular means that right now its just b***dy FOG ! (that is the nearest symbol I could find for fog)

Good enough symbol to me, hopefully it burns of and the girls get on the clover.

Mine spread so much, that I have now declared war on them! Every little bit gets dug up as soon as it appears.

Still lots of buzzing around the garden on Calendula, Alliums and Sanguisorba, all for pollen.

Echinops is the hit at the moment, plus Oregano still going strong.

Buddleia is still flowering well here - my neighbours have lots and the bees are working it, especially the yellow, very actively.
Some are also clearly working the Himalayan balsam.

gorse is out of bloom, kissing's out of fashion, when the the idea behind the saying is that gorse is always in flower somewhere so there is always chance of a kiss
