Never heard of lugwort. Is lungwort another name for the same plant (Pulmonaria sp) which is, I belive, is in the same family as Borage?

We have loads of Alexanders (Smyrnium olusatrum or Horse Parsley) growing along the roadside absolutely covered in bees, they are not collecting pollen so it must be nectar they are after. I have never noticed them really paying much attention to this plant before and I am wondering if this is down to timing; a lot of plants have come into flower a bit later than usual because we have had such a lot of cold/windy weather. Has anyone else seen bees going mad for this plant?

The bees have a flow on at the moment, we still have blackthorn in flower, but our friend the dandelion is flowering at all apiaries.

I have never seen so much horse parsley as this year. The conditions must have been just right!

My wonderful parish council arranged to have a row of willow cut down yesterday, just as the male catkins were useable. Two guys at it all day. Grrrr!
Does taking their break together in their truck count as social distancing???
I wonder how many birds abandoned their nesting as everything was cut down to make a five foot hedge.
Puts my blood pressure up!

Went and had a peek at the girls today and lots of yellow noses starting to appear. **** close by somewhere.

Wicked!
Bluebells beginning to flower and seen some Willow Herb up a foot or more. Judging by the Hawthorn it will be true to its name.

How many bees have you spiked on that entrance. Made me smile!

We have lots of holly here
I’ve never seen the hedgerows covered in so many flower buds
