After treatment with Certan, I stored a stack of supers wet in a cool outbuilding, I have been checking my kit tonight and they are free from any wax moth, but the super smell a bit like the wet honey has fermented, quite a nice smell.
The supers were spun in an electric extractor, so didn't have much honey left in them.
will these supers be OK for the bees later in the year?
Thanks Nick

Most wet supers get that smell. I try and mix a few worldly ones with nice clean ones but the bees dont seem to mind!

Never had a problem with storing wet supers.... never used Certan... but supers frozen in a large freezer overnight before being stacked with acetic acid fumeer and then with newspaper between each box.

Good idea to number supers so they can go back on same colonies.

what issues would i run into if I mix up the supers ... cos many of the frames get moved about so there is no guarantee that I get the right frames back on the right hives

Could be a recipe for disaster if you are in an AFB or EFB area.

Probably not a problem in mixing up extracted frames and supers from one apiary.
