Thanks :) it's been a good 6 weeks form emergence.

I'm too scared to check my big hive tomorrow incase I see a swarm cell, it was rather full today.

If it was me I'd mark the frames she lays on and check she isn't a drone layer.

I'd also move a frame or two of emerging brood from the strong hive to give them a boost
 
Just to let you know I was able to have a look on Saturday and there were eggs! Only on one frame but I was delighted. At least there is a queen and she is now mated.

My only concern now is whether there is enough time left for her to build up the numbers sufficiently for winter.

Overall though, great news! If helpful to anyone, the time from the queen hatching to laying was 26 days.
 
Great news, I do not wish to dampen your good news, but you will only be able to say she is mated when you see worker cap pings rather than drone
 
When you do, if you are still concerned, you could use your other hives to donate some sealed/emerging brood to bolster their numbers.
