as i suggested in a previous thread on WPF what we need is a dedicated thread.

anyone with a genuine gripe must post full details of date of order/payment, payment mode, goods ordered, value of order, delivered or not, when, gripe, action taken, result, desired outcome, summary of (attempted) contacts with william.

no snide comments about william etc. just facts about your own order.

let the thread speak for itself.

oh and i'd suggest that anyone posting would be willing for essex TS to be in touch with them.

How can you have an approved suppliers list when commercial advertising is not allowed!!!!!

What I don't understand is that there seem to be loads of people who have ordered goods from him and not received them, yet I have heard no one report back with any action taken by Trading Standards or any other statutory body.
So, what's going on?

As i have mentioned on a previous post i have asked Barclaycard to take action against WPF to recover my £75.00 paid by paypal and subsequently Barclaycard under section 75 of the CCA ACT I am still awaiting the outcome, i have reluctantly taken this action because of his growing list of excuses and lately his total refusal to answer any of my emails or phone calls, i felt i had no other option, as i do not want anyone else to have to go through this, i will keep you all posted as to the outcome Chris

One thing is sure - he has taken money from a lot of people. Be it either by taking pre-payment for goods that have never been supplied or by purchasing goods on credit and then never paying for them. These are not just small amounts either. It some cases it amounts to over 1K.

I was trying to put it into words, but i'm not great at it. Nose Ma has explained it a great deal better than me.

As i understand it to claim compensation it also has to have affected your reputation within your community or affected your trading reputation. In other words you have had to actually lose out so to speak.

I was just pointing out that a public name and shame list would have to be backed up with watertight evidence otherwise the publisher of that content could find themselves in trouble. To get it from third parties makes that job harder.0

Imagine the following scenario:
1. The BBKA publishes a name on the list
2. The person then asks why it is on the list
3. The BBKA tells them
4. The person disagrees, by whichtime their sales have plummeted.
5. The person takes the BBKA to court.
6. The BBKA has the evidence to prove it was right or it doesn't and has to pay compensation.

The BBKA, or anyone else for that matter, are not going to want to administer that sort of list. I wouldn't and that is why I think it will never work.

all bbka have to do is first ask for a written statement of complaint. Publish the name along with the statements. Its not that difficult at all

"i have asked Barclaycard to take action against WPF to recover my £75.00 paid by paypal and subsequently Barclaycard under section 75 of the CCA"

surely you mean Chargeback NOT Section 75 as your purchase was less than £100 (unless that was only a deposit).

As Norton mentions, how if no commercial advertising.

There could be a distinction made between "advertising" and a simple list of suppliers with a recommended column and not recommended column.

I'm guessing the no advertising rule is to stop interested parties flooding the forum plugging their own wares?

The only problem with this is that it is difficult to manage.
A bad supplier can improve and a good supplier can get worse. Who makes the decision when to move a supplier from one list to the other?
Who decides if a review has actually been maliciously posted by a competitor?
Etc.

I have a website that is 90% complete that has a full list of suppliers in it that members can add to.

There is a place for feedback/rating so members can see who has made purchases from the company in the past and if they recommend buying from them - or not.

I am just waiting for the clocks to change and then the dark evenings will see it finished and ready for launch.

Good news Mark

"A bad supplier can improve and a good supplier can get worse."

yes - so you have feedback AND date - so people can see if things are getting better.

Hi Drstitson, you could well be right, i was told by Barclaycard that was the way to proceed, they are aware that the £75.00 is the total and not a deposit, as i have said it not about the money it the principle, maybe if more people take action something will be done to stop more beekeepers losing out, i will keep you posted Chris
