wasps in hive

What happened in my extraction room this morning. I leaved the door open. Couple of thousand wasps came in and they fly under the tube lights, I pulled the into the vacuum cleaner.

What happens to wasps in the hive? Bees kill it. But before killing, the wasp has killed 5-10 bees. But there are 3000 bees in the nuc still.
