VSH - Varroa -

My understanding is that if bees have 100% Varroa Sensitive Hygiene (VSH) then they will open and remove 100% of the brood infected with fertile (viable) varroa mites.

I've also heard referenced that bees which exhibit high levels of VSH also appear to be more resistant to some other diseases, etc. that affect bees...

So, my question is this; will 100% VSH Bees also exhibit 100% Tropilaelaps Sensitive Hygiene (TSH) bees as well, is there any research to support this suspicion of mine, or can we (without available research), make a best guessed conclusion that they very well may?

Varroa mites and Tropilaelaps mites are completely unconnected ...
both of them are not mites,
both of them do not infect beehives,
both of them do not reproduce in the brood
both of them do not feed of the brood

yes, I see what you mean. Clearly they have extreme differences, and as Tropilaelaps do not feed on brood, enter into cells, live and reproduce in beehives, the bees could not possibly detect them and therefore would make no attempts to remove them as they never enter the beehive to begin with. Sorry I don't know what I was thinking!
