As across the rest of the UK, OSR planting has been in decline around here. This year I noted that a local farmer had planted something new in his former OSR fields, and as the new crop emerged it became apparent he was going for field beans. As they struggled through May, here and there I saw the very occasional volunteer OSR plant sticking its head up. This was the scene this morning.
