Hi I am new to all this and i been reading alot about bee keeping online. I have ordered some books eventually but wondered if there was any video, tutorials or YouTube channels anybody recommends? Thankyou

Black Mountain Honey on the forum as BMH, Lawrence’S channel on YouTube. I really like his content.

The Norfolk Honey Company, Stewart has a patrion page. So his content can be slightly behind what actually happing.

Kamon Renynolds and Bob Bennie in America both commercial beekeepers with really good videos.

Also give a mention to Honey Bee Obscura podcast and Beekeeping today podcast. There both from America, but have had British and European guests.

I know a few people slate American beekeepers, but they face the same challenges we do. It’s always good to get another view.

Just be selective there’s plenty of truly horrendous videos and BS however well intended!!!!!

Better than any video. Ask a local beekeeper if you can come and watch them work! If you put your location you might even get an offer from this site!

Perhaps that’s why he hasn’t stated the location😜🤪🤗

Eventually that's my plan I do know of someone someone with Bees, but I would prefer to expand my knowledge a bit more on the subject before

Simon the Beekeeper does some neat videos.

I don't agree. His handling of bees seems quite rough in comparison with most You Tube beekeepers. Although less relevant, his videos are less slick and I've seen one where the sound and vision were completely out of synch. Last year he was demonstrating how he open-feeds his bees.

My vote goes to Black Mountain Honey. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCaa4pgaAzz8DCjiYJrx9cMA There's Anfrew who calls himself "Irish Bee" on You Tube. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgcsWFy1vLwEC8Zj0qqsGuA Not everyone will like his approach, but it's real and seems to work for him in a big way.

"John Bee Man Saunders" https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCBnMUq9l15vvF3z5ifKZ14Q has a gentle, almost sentimental way of showing his beekeeping which is maybe not to everyones' taste, but his fairly traditional approach and skills are very watchable.

Shout out to Richard Noel (on this forum as @Plenty of honey ) who has done great YouTube videos on his channel, and I like him as he’s a normal guy (albeit with a lot of love, knowledge and passion for bees) trying to provide for himself and his family.

and Gruff Rees as well from Gwenyn Gruffyd.

And Laurence from Black Mountain, cos he’s out there doing great videos, as well as Norfolk Stewart. Between those four, if you have a problem and at least one of them doesn’t have a video that touches on it at least, I’d be surprised.
