Yet again the mild weather continues, the plus side is all three hives were out again today, still bringing in yellow pollen as you can the on the pic.

Do you think they will ever cluster ?, do they really need the size of stores they used to have to rely on ?

One thing i am annoyed with is the large number of beetles and bugs that have taken up residence in my stored equipment already, and thats with the use of Sulphur strips, what ever happened to the decent long cold snaps we used to get, Finman i envy your winters.

I noticed yeaterday that we still have loads of Ivy about, plus yesterdays temp was around 16c here.

I must go see if mine are still working.

Been to a garden centre today (yeah! boring )
There was a rather large mahonia in full flower, it was covered in honeybees ,they were having a whale of a time

I am sure I saw out of the corner of my eye today as I drove past, A field full of yellow flowers?

As admins says, Ivy is still well in flow, and no sign of let-up yet.

Have we all packed up to early?

Possibley!

You may add supers if bees accumulate onto front wall of the hive.

If hives starved in UK in August, perhaps December is better yield period.
Christmas flowers will be soon in full bloom!
