Before the NYT's involvement there was just a list of words in the code and they were used in sequence depending on the date. That list was expanded at one point, and then I heard that various words the NYT considered potentially offensive were removed once they bought the game. I've no idea if they're changing the word order on a regular basis now though. I've not looked since they took over.

I did Wordle on my Mac yesterday and went to share it to a friend on my phone and it wasn’t there. The temptation to do one line was resistible

I can't believe you've only just noticed that but I agree the temptation is almost irresistible

I'd imagine that you don't even need to use two different devices. Just two different browsers would probably do the job.
