Very green flash, how does he do it? One day not so great, the next wowee!
Some days I am more whimsical in my play - So for instance yesterday I was considering Pater and Mater, but decided against, as they probably would not be on the list. Other days I would have used them, just because I could...

I extracted all possible answers from the puzzle code ages ago. I could look and know/tell you tomorrows answer but what's the point of that?
I pattern match in that list to get the list of possibles and then attempt a good strategy aimed at avoiding high scores where possible. (Also means I never send more than a few minutes on a game!)

See my comment above on 6'r: 11 possibles in a full dictionary but only 5 are in Wordle answers list.
The full dictionary included such as "gater" which is of very dubious solidity (alligator slang, reciprocating saw possibly etc etc) and tater (slang only?) but in this case also quite reasonable words like rater, mater and pater (if you are HRH) that will never win Wordle.

What is slightly odd choice is that the puzzle has 2 lists : the answers and all acceptable words. The latter is less than the full dictionary, so Wordle might not accept all of the 11 above.
Just tried "gater' - it won't have it!
Oh actually it will; but I tested a different version that allows you to play old games. Not the same word lists for a start there then!

The NYT version will not accept "bater" from the full dictionary.
Crikey O’reilly, they’ll be making a university degree course out of it soon then?
I‘ll just keep on straining the grey matter and guessing ………and getting regular 6s

Wordle 720 5/6* hahaha, ooh, lol - after my comments yesterday..
⬛🟨⬛🟩⬛ 6 possibles (or?)
🟨⬛🟨🟩⬛ just 2 options, 50/50 for 3
⬛🟩🟩🟩⬛ nope other then...
⬛🟩🟩🟩🟩 NO!!??? .... . . . hang on a moment here....
🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 the other one I can think of (and in full dictionary) but not in the game's list that I extracted a few years ago.

Chewed up by a group trap. So unlucky to try just about everything except the solution - just having to guess is no reflection on player skill!
In fact I only had 5 possibles in that pattern so you must have used a wider set of possibles (11 in full dictionary).
Yes. Different to crosswords where you either work ouut the answer or you dont
