I extracted all possible answers from the puzzle code ages ago. I could look and know/tell you tomorrows answer but what's the point of that?
I pattern match in that list to get the list of possibles and then attempt a good strategy aimed at avoiding high scores where possible. (Also means I never send more than a few minutes on a game!)
See my comment above on 6'r: 11 possibles in a full dictionary but only 5 are in Wordle answers list.
The full dictionary included such as "gater" which is of very dubious solidity (alligator slang, reciprocating saw possibly etc etc) and tater (slang only?) but in this case also quite reasonable words like rater, mater and pater (if you are HRH) that will never win Wordle.
What is slightly odd choice is that the puzzle has 2 lists : the answers and all acceptable words. The latter is less than the full dictionary, so Wordle might not accept all of the 11 above.
Just tried "gater' - it won't have it!
Oh actually it will; but I tested a different version that allows you to play old games. Not the same word lists for a start there then!
The NYT version will not accept "bater" from the full dictionary.
