Hi,
My colony has finally started to grow and i have eggs and larvae on 6 frames in the brood box. there are two or three frames of undrawn foundation and i am wondering whether to add a super to enable the queen to lay more to help the colony grow as big as possible for winter.
or should i just leave them to draw all the frames out?

You should wait until you have brood on eight frames before considering putting a super on, especially without a QX. leave them finish drawing conb in the brood box or wax producing bees will move up to the super (they like going up) nstead of staying in the brood and you will probably get a brood shape growing upwards into the super instead of to the sides of the brood.

A bit of 1:1 feed may help them draw the wax of it is warm enough where you are

You could move two foundation frames so they are next to the outer frames that have brood - so that one foundation frame is between the brood and the stores -- one at each side of the brood. Best place for getting foundation drawn.
