I think the Auction site is pointless, when there is already a sales section.
:iagree:
As long as there is a for sell section on this site the bee alert auction site will not work
I dont know what commision the site charges users but I think I read a thread that admin was going to follow up on people selling nucs on the forum that don't make a contribution to the running costs( but I might be wrong)
It might be better if the sells part of the forum was moved to the auction site and if that was the case people would use it a lot more

There is no commision charge for selling or buying on the auction site.

My idea was to give the site a boost over the winter, the main thought I had for the auction site was for commercial sellers to sell goods at buy it now or auction without breaking forum rules regards advertising.

Great idea, but with most items 1p less than their buy it now price as a starting bid, I won't be bidding, more likely to be buying direct. Should it be called an auction page or just change it to a buy it now page?
Totally removes the chance to get something at a bargain. I understand though that the seller will want a decent price and with little visitors, will not be looking to give their new goods away.

Will browse more often, but until prices come down or there is a specific item I want, unlikely to get used.
I do wish the sellers and the buyers good luck and happy buying.
