Hi
Sandra and I bought two hives and a heap of kit from a local lady who was giving up beekeeping after twenty years.
We have a friend mentoring us and he offered to store the hives for us until we can get them sited. When the seller checked the hives just before selling she found that squatters had moved in so we have a colony but the hive was frameless.
Our mentor has kindly offered to feed and overwinter them, he's been beekeeping for over four decades so we feel they're in good hands (as are we).
We've lots to learn but we're keen to get going, this forum will no doubt be a great help.
Thanks
Tez
